Revenge of The Sith Trailer (spoliers)

Luke and Leia's characters will appear as infants in "Revenge of the Sith."

I am not really sure this is a good idea.

And plus the scene with a lightsaber duel between Anakin and Obiwan(I think), in front of Palpatine on his throne....

I think the battle in particular definately is/will be a deliberate allusion to the RoTJ scene.... the path Luke didn't take, in many ways - and possible acting as a retcon to explain the Emperors' overconfidence.

I can't help but think it's going to be a bloody negative way to end the trilogy, though; pretty much everyone dies and the galaxy falls into darkness.

Yay!

Given that a major part of the ending / plot is their birth and hiding from the emperor, I can't think of any other way they could do it....

I would hope that Naboo would be taken out, but it survives as shown by the end of Return of the Jedi Special Edition Mk. II (aka the DVD version).

It'd be cool if it was, but knowing Lucas, he'd rather just make up some random one rather than trying to link together the old movies with the new. I mean, Naboo was just crying out to be Alderaan.

From what I've heard the planet is going to be 'Stennis.' KOTOR2 mentions that the Hissis come from there, and it's a planet of the ancient Sith, and I believe those are the big lizard creatures shown in the trailer.

Most likely from the few KOTOR3 rumors around Stennis is going to be a planet featured in it when it's made.

I do agree that "Naboo" should have been Alderaan. That way EPIV had a certain punch to it which wasn't there before when destroying a seemingly random planet.

You wouldn't exactly mourn the loss of the Gungans, though.......

I suspect Aldaraan will feature, though; but probably only in a brief shot at the end when Leia is hidden there.

Seems like a strange plan to keep her anonymous though, 'Let's give her to Alderaan's Royal family, they can make her a Princess and she can be a spy for the Rebellion!'.

And yet it was the moisture farmers' son that actually was first identified as Vaders' kid...... you'd think he'd notice his own daughter when she's locked up in his own space station for bloody ages, but nooooo.

I'm fairly sure the spy for the Rebellion thing wasn't planned.  However, hiding in plain sight can work, if they did it right.

Obvuiusly whilst flying your Tie Advanced in the middle of a huge combat arena is the best time to start wondering about the genaelogy of the guy you are shooting at ;)

Of course, the Jedi like ability to figure out that sending Luke to his own uncle, and not even changing his name was an awesome way of keeping his hidden ;)

As far as the trailer is concerned,

Spoiler:

I think the lightning that hits Yoda is not Sideous, I think it's Dooku. I have a suspicion that Yoda will fake his wn death. The duel is most likely ol' Dooks as well, that would be more in running with the 'tradition'.

Edit : What I would have like to have seen was Yoda defeating Dooku on Dagobah, thus explaining the cave that Luke had to enter, but that, apparently, will not happen :(

It seemed to me that the cave on Dagobah was far older. Hmm... Perhaps a nice tie-in for KotOR 3 :)

Spoiler:

I read that Anakin defeats Dooku (whilst 'rescuing' the Emperor); the Emperor coerces him into executing Dooku, and thus begins to turn him....

He worked out he had a son easily enough, though.

he already knew he has a son. he thought Amidala was pregnant with one child, and not twins.

both trailer links are dead. :(

I wept. Mysterious forces beyond my ken had reached into my beautiful mission and energized its pilots with inhuman bomb-firing abilities. I could only imagine the GTVA warriors giving a mighty KIAAIIIIIII shout as they worked their triggers, their biceps bulging with sinew after years of Ivan Drago-esque steroid therapy and weight training. - General Battuta

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

To be honest, I didn't download the trailer from that link, neither from any of the other links given here. It had Hungarian subtitling, which made it clear that Yoda's special parlance won't appear in the translated version:
