If you're daring, drop 30 on a new heatsink  for your 9800Pro, make darn sure it's compatible first before you do it.  Then, if you want to get REALLY daring.. Flash your 9800 Pro to an XT, ONLY if your chip is an R360.  If it's an older R350, dont do it, it doesnt have the XP stuff.

I just bought a nice chair, big as a couch, and super confy! Costed a bundle (270 euros), but well worth it. I can almost sleep in it.

With 100 dollars (about 90 euros), you could get a good SATA HDD. I bought a Western Digital for that price, with 200gb of space. Best i ever had. IDE drives will soon grow obsolete, just like AGP cards, and certain processor chipsets. Might aswell start upgrading thinking of the future.Buying a DVD is not nearly as important, since DVD drives will get even cheaper and better. Judging from your specs i would go with another SATA. But the choice is yours.

Tell me, is it only me, or does xp require you to have an IDE HDD, if for only telling the PC to load windows from the SATA?

I tried to unplug my IDE to put in another PC, but mine refused to boot without it. :|

Not as far as I know. It could be similar to the problem I had recently, though. I had an old 5.3GB or so HDD in for transferring some files between computers last time I installed Windows, and it was in the Primary Slave slot as it was the only one open. Unfortunately, I can't remove it now, as Windows has set it to C and when it's removed, it moves the D-F drives up one letter, causing Windows to be unable to find its own DLLs.
