Reminds me of the story I once read of why Troy Hurtubise got started on his suit.

Hmmm. Let me see if I can dig up the story.

According to Hurtubise, two formative events inspired his quest to build a better bear suit. The second happened in 1987, when he saw the futuristic body armor in the movie Robocop. The first unfolded in a lonely mountain meadow in August 1984, near a place called Humidity Creek in British Columbia. Hurtubise, then 20, was alone on a gold-panning trip. Returning to his camp one afternoon, he looked up and saw an enormous bear. The tuft of white fur on its chin prompted Hurtubise to refer to him — and by extension all grizzlies — as "the Old Man."
The Old Man approached and knocked Hurtubise to the ground with a snout to the chest. Down in the dirt, he says, he felt sure he would die. "But I got pissed off at this son of a *****," he says. Regaining his feet, he drew two hunting knives and stared down the ursine giant. "I said, 'Take what you want, but I'll take both of these knives and I'll shove them right up your ass.'"

The bear, so the story goes, lumbered away.

Its extrodinary but I bet this guy never knew he had it in him.  Sometimes you feel instinct begin to takeover and you do crazy things that you'd never do normally.  We're still animals...under all of those thousands of years of evolution we're still programmed to run or fight.  It also shows us why we got to where we are.  If an old 73 year old can take on a predatory animal such as that...
