Well I'm sure we've all seen the thread titled:

ACEY CAN TEXTUREY!!!

...and were surprised with how the GTF Creon and GVF Yaaru look.

Now Ace figured out how to use TS4, and managed to create the below:
 

Unfortunately Acey isn't very good with converting files for FS2 format, which is why I've enlist... *cough* asked for the help of Killmenow who is fixing up the model for FS2 usage despite my "unl33t and mUnd4n3!!!" skills.

Um, is that a bunch of black censor boxes?

The shot is rather poor since I rendered it too dark in TS.  

Anyhow specs wise it's 241 polys with all turrets included. So it's equivalent to an average FS2 fighter.

The size of the device is 40 meters in length and has a total of 12 turrets.

4 of which multipart large pulse, 2 of which are small scale anti-cap beam cannons.

Here is a different render of the sentry device with proper gamma correction.

 

Once again, the actual model is a relatively small size, so it's lack of detail and basic shape will seem much better in game.

It's a plate....... The only thing is, it seems awfully small, volumewise, to have that many turrets.

The turrets are weaker variants designed to destroy fighters.

The beam cannons are mainly cruiser deterent in damage.

where exactly you get the details on culture ships there never been a movie with them in them jsut books and the desciption of the ships its that detailed as i remember - just that they were exceedingly power machines
