Well, it's not like she was going: "ARRR! This is the truth and if you think otherwise you're a terrorist and I'll get you thrown in jail!" Most of the kids in my class probably didn't understand much past the word 'beer' anyway. She also showed us those flash cartoons last year during the presidential race, "This Land is Your Land" etc.

There was a scholarly article I cited in a report back when I was in the 9th grade that pointed out that the development of beer was very likely to have been central to the organization of the first large scale settlements and agriculture in Mesopotamia.
