Okay. While I was playing around with 3D Studio Max R3, I sort of accidentally created this rather weird lookinig fighter.

Its a standard GTF Myrmidon Space Superiority Fighter. I had intended to merge the Myrmidon with the current scene which already had a wing of GTB Artemis D.H bombers in it. 3D Studio Max told me that the material name was the same as currently used in the scene. Not knowing what to do, I clicked on an option and this came out. Apparently, the Myrmidon was assigned the Artemis D.H skins. The result is below. Not too shabby a design in my opinion.

You're right, that does look kinda cool.

However, there is one problem though. Because the Artemis D.H skin was not meant for the Myrmidon, the reskinned version does not have thruster skins where the Myrmidon is supposed to have thrusters.

If anyone wants this model with the "accidental" skin, email me and I'll send it to you.

Maybe, Setekh, you want it? Maybe you can turn it into somoething peharps?

Yeah, that does look cool... maybe with the textures rearranged to fit it better it would look really cool. I wonder what other ships would look cool with the D.H. skins.

I somehow managed to mix up a Perseus so it had an Erinyes skin with ModelView... although it did look crap.  (shrugs)

You're right, I could   But I think it would be a better idea if you had a shot at it. One reason is because right now I am Hella busy with stuff everywhere - but another, better reason is so that you learn how to master skinning. Give it a shot, you'll learn lots of new stuff. Trust me.

Or you could just go into Modelview or POFCS and change the skin used...Like I just did
