Smallville: I know who's gonna die :D
Those of you who follow the show know that someone's gonna die on the 100th episode.

You may also have realized from the not so subtle hints that the show and the movies are one storyline. Well, if you watch the orginal Superman movie from 1978 they say that Clark moved to Metropolis following his father's death from a heart attack when Clark was a teenager. Clark is 18 in Smallville. Bam. Carl wins. If they don't kill him off now they'll have to some time in the next 2 years.

Yes... we all know. That's why we all knew Zod's minion was the one who caused Martha's vein-illness from the get-go. We also knew why Jor-El was being vague, yet conformist when Clark went to the fortress.

However it's not that simple. In the movie, his father dies from a heart attack, which is scheduled anyway since Jonathan used SUPAR POWARZ for that short period of time.

My money is on Chloe dying from the "CURSE OF FATE". She has no future in the storyline, and someone needs to be a catalyst for Lois Lane to follow in her footsteps.

Actually since Johnathan and Martha were both still alive in Lois and Clark (by the same producers as Smallville) it's much more likely that Ms. Sullivan will meet a nasty fate.

It'll be Martha. They'll try to stick to the quasi-original plot arc with the death of a parent, but won't want to be so obvious as to make it Johnathan. And having Martha miraculously saved a few episodes previous means they'll be able to blindside everyone.

Why do you think Lois was getting all pally with her in Solitude? It's so she and Clark can be devastated and be brought closer as a result.

And Jor-El hasn't really specifically claimed anything back for giving Johnathan super powers, so I reckon Martha's the price he has to pay to have gotten Clark back.

Still, Chloe's a possibility - but that'd leave Clark with no friends who know he's a stinkin' alien.

And having Lana die would open things up for Lois to start boning Clark. And it'd let him move to Metropolis. Plus it'd drive Lex more crazy.

Re: Smallville: I know who's gonna die :D
Lana can't die, she doesn't die in any of the incarnations of the story.

I don't think Martha will be the one to bite it though. That whole bull**** part about her being "his soul and heart" is more or less her invulnerability card. Jonathan WILL die from the heart strain, we all know that. This is one of the themes that goes through many stories outside of Superman. The only question is werther or not they'll use Johnathans death for the equal purpose of fulfilling Jor-El's demand, or if it'll be a standalone death. I'm going for the latter.

Chloe must die. Price of getting "closer" to Clark.

Oh and Ace, I think you botched something with the producers there. Gough and Millar don't have any connection to that atrocity of a series.

It has to be Chloe. She's too close to to other elements of the established story (Lois, the Daily Planet, etc. etc.), and yet not a part of the movie storyline. Thus, she has to go if they want to maintain continuity.

Jonathon's death is already known, I doubt they'd be making such a fuss over it.

They could go with the Silver Age storyline: Both Jonathan and Martha die.
