This is mostly just for curiosity's sake, has anyone mastered using the Infyrno for killing fighter/bomber formations. I've gotten lucky a couple of times and killed whole wings; but just for the sake of knowing, has anyone "figured out" this weapon?

Ugh, i hate that thing, suing it is a rediculous task.

One of the main problems is that it's so damn slow, if it went 3 or 4 times the speed it does now i reckon it would be much better.

To make it a realy good weapon it would have to be an aspect seeker though.

I use it more often as a poor man's bomb. It can be loaded onto fighters and works quite well against freighters and lighter cruisers.

I always use it in the mission where the 3rd fleet HQ gets evacuated. The Shivan bombers jump in without escort and are flying in tight formation. A perfect opportunity for an Infyrno run.

Fly dead on towards the bombers, target one in the middle, release double Infyrnos when getting in range, watch the distance to target and distance of missile counters simultaneously.

When both numbers are equal, press button for insta-fried Shivans and enjoy the view.

Agreed, they're only really useful against tightly packed bombers or against freighters.
