Re: The SG1 Finale (spoilers, *****)
You'd think they would've had the sense not to go up one-on-one against Ori warships with present technology when that dinky little satelite went Sathanas on the Prometheus' ass.

The Korolev was undoubtedly the 304 to be blown to bits, as Mitchell left in a 302 and death is never a problem to Daniel Jackson. Oh and someone told me that Vala will be a permanent addition to the season 10 crew.

I agree with most of this but I think that it was the Odyssey that was blown up and here's why.  We never actually saw Mitchell get off the ship in the 302 when he was running/falling down the corridor and Jackson was on the ship as well, Omah said she wouldn't help him ascend again (not in this ep though.)  As far as the asgaurd ship, yea I'm glad that they had the sense to actually move insted of sit there (did this ship get destroyed? I watched this ep twice but I still couldn't tell.)  I'd hate to see a  asgaurd ship get destroyed so easily like the others.

Unless they jumped out, from what we saw right at the end, there didn't look to be any survivors when the Ori ships stopped firing cause either they were blown away/jumped away.

Spoilers for 1001 in invisitext

It was the Korelev that was destroyed. An Asgard ship jumps back in and rescues survivors from the Earth and Jaffa vessels and tows the Odyssey back to Earth after the Ori set course for Earth.

I'm still trying to reconcile the supergate being indestructible with someone just walking up to one of its segments and popping a panel off.

Wait, if some of the above spoilers are correct, why not just beam a nuke into the ori ships?

Maybe because it'd be oh so more totally awesome to have a Wraith fleet reach Earth at the same time as the Orii and they both blow eachother up? ;)

Sheilds?

Besides, that'd get tagged as a recycling of Atlantis concepts.

Still, I do think they under-use the Mk9s. When the Korelev exploded, they shoulda just went "**** this" and beamed 4 Mk9s just outside the shields of one of the Ori ships and blown the **** out of it.

yea, i see it as more of using the .22 revolver when you have a desert eagle in you other hand.
shields or not you use your biggest guns on your toughest enemy.

true, but it would be conceivable since atlantis is now in regular contact with earth. It would make sense to share strategies.
It came from outer space! What? Dunno, but it's going back on the next flight!

304s and Hataks are okay at dodging things when they're moving at speed, but they can't make any significant evasive actions from rest
Just wanted to point out your little error here. The Daedy does some pretty damn agile manoeuvres when saving Michael's Hive-ship from the hostile one in 'Allies'.

Re: The SG1 Finale (spoilers, *****)
No it doesn't.

And it's moving at speed anyways.
