[The Claw]

Well, this is a sketch I did of the Bellerophon, a ship I'm planning to make for IW2 if I can.
 
 Weaponry includes:
 16 twin Plasma Cannons
 12 rapid fire light plasma cannons
 1 Heavy torpedo launcher

 It would have a fighter complement of 12, or 4 corvettes instead. In theory, it would be the standard Cap-ship for a campaign I'm planning, but we'll see how things go- I won't have much time modding cause girlfriends tend to be time intensive  
 Anyways, what do you guys think? Anything I can do to improve it?

 PS: the central bit should rotate.

Can you make it more original? it looks incredibly obviously like a Faustus or an Omega destroyer of B5 fame.

That = Omega. With a Nova's guns. And a slightly different midsection.

But I really like it anyway.

Well, the thing is I didn't actually mean it to turn out looking like anything... it just kinda did. The front section I can change a bit so that it doesn't look quite so much like an Omega, but the Midsections and guns are quite hard- a round midsection really does NOT look good, and the guns just turned out like that, because of the necessary size of them.
 Just one thing though, that drawing doesn't really do the picture in my head that much justice (I'm a crap artist and I did this at school). Hopefully the actual model should turn out better, when I get my head around modelling in my new toy: Lightwave.

Edit:
 Just for comparison, a picture of an Omega I came across... it's not exactly high quality, but it doesn't look as much like my ship as I first thought...

Actually, that pic kinda doesn't prove my point... in fact it kinda seems to demolish my point quite well ( I was tired man!)
 Nah, I was watching the IFH trailer again the other night, and side on it looks completly different...
 I suppose from that angle it looks quite similar because of the basic shape of the front and the layout.
 Ah wells, rest assured the actual model will be no clone

If it didn't have that rotating bit, I'd say it looked a lot like a Nova.

But heck, the Nova and Omega look nearly identical except for the Omega's midsection and the Nova's huge guns  

I just realized that it sounds like I'm complaining. I'm not. The drawing looks damn awesome and would make a great ship.
