How in earth do you make a P-38 out of that? To me it looks like it only has one fuselage, being closer perhaps to a F6F models, or perhaps - just perhaps - the razorback P-47 (with traditional cockpit, not the later bubble cockpit).


That said, it's definitely cool.

What was meant by "miss" in this context?

Was it, as in "miss, to fail to notice something" (like I did)?

Or, like I originally understood it to mean, "miss, long for something"...


It's still not a P-38 in the last frame, though. AFAIK all P-38's had all weapons in the nose, so they didn't have converging fire as many other planes had to have... Of course it *could* be a special modification with additional weapons in the wings.

Ah..., you can see the twin booms, identifying the "Fork-Tailed" devil.  Not many fighter aircraft have that config.  I'm betting that the poor plane being hit is a Zero, though the fuselage is a bit bulky.
