It's a different texture because there's no skin on the Collosus in that picture.  The superstructure and a great deal of the internal chambers are there, but the outermost walls aren't.

That cutscene had so many inconsistencies.

What if the external armor wasn't placed yet? As for the inconsistencies...I think the Colossus needed particular Ganymede rings.

I guess, but there are many other inconsistencies there.

The TTC1 containers and the Ganymede rings are too big, the Lucifer is too small, the Chronos carrying the TTC1s have too many turrets, the turret amounts and types are most certainly incorrect, Vasuda Prime is labeled Vasuda, Mirfak is named Mirfax, the Bastion even appears in the Colossus fleet.

Probably they were just a bunch of renders, and then the guys at decided to put them together to make the Collie cutscene.

Oh, I'm not denying that there's inconsistancies in that cutscene; I just take issue with a couple of the specific ones you bring up, such as the texture work on the Collossus model.  I'll also point out that, as a matter of terminology, Vasuda is the star system, while Vasuda Prime is the first planet from that system's sun.
