Okay, So no one has done it before, and if they have they sure kept it a secret from me.  So I deceided to do what I always wanted to do.
 a high poli wiremesh of the herc II
So all you LW and 3D studio max enthusiast  soon you'll have the famous Herc II to fly and do whatever you want with. Yeah I'll share it!  :)
That's what modelling should be for. Unless someone wants to make a boat load of money and It's copyrighted by Volition anyway.

As yu can see, it's just at the very early stages. Have not even subpatched  it yet.  should be ready by next week.
 I'll make a 3D max version as well. Hope to convert the LW model after.
Maps...  Since there are great texture mapping experts here... well, you can make your own  and lets see who will make the best version of it.

Is there some reason you didn't start with the actual Herk2 model?

That' a good question...

I never really like the Her 2. it always looked like an overgrown goose from a walt disney movie to me.
 So I started with the Herc III

But the more I got in to the game the more it seem a necessity for me to have it, as most people in the game and my squad relate to the original Herc II more than my creation obviously.
which is fair enough.
