Re: FREDding: An Analysis
launching and landing cinematic can be boring , i agree with karajorma for that, i tend to think an ingame/interactive launching and landing is the best (better than beeing directly in space)  :)

Re: FREDding: An Analysis
I used to just use nothing but waved wings, but I figured "Hell, I've got nine unused Zodiacs, wtf am I doing?" so I think the most I've done so far was three waves?

Yeah, unless these ships are actually launching from the fighterbay of an ingame ship, you'd better have a damn good reason for more than three waves. Even then I try to space out the time between them so it doesn't look like these guys are sitting there in subspace for their comrades to die.

This makes me think of the video you used to get on Independence War 2: The Edge of Chaos  :ick: theres no need to see if everytime i go into space. Although it had the nice feature that you could either watch your ship taking off or skip it and go straight into the cockpit and see all your systems coming on line.

Re: FREDding: An Analysis
I only have launch/dock if the destroyer is there. And I have something like is-distance-subsystem <100, then fade-out 1 second and end mission.
