You have fun documenting existing systems now. I hate documenting existing systems of anything. Reminds me of when i had to map out the local library network for documentation years later after my older brother had put it in without a network map. Had he done that, that would be two days of my life back.
Then again for all i know you'll just be doing documentation on printers and computers for a long time on paper and digital inventory.
Some recommendations: If you keep a blog detailing your work day, hide it on the internet. This happened to me once on my last job. I had to keep a blog detailing my work days for every week since it was an internship for a class of mine. Apparently, i still spoke with enough detail for my boss to google random stuff about the job location and found my blog. Low blow for me more than my old bosses could ever imagine for them to be reading the rough details of my ocassional bad days at work.
Got myspace, facebook, twitter, or something similar. Set your profile to private, only your friends in your friends list should be able to see your profile, photos, videos, blogging feature, and comments board, consider setting your friends list to private as well. The next best thing you'll ever want is not only that anybody could be exploring your social networking profiles, but that your bosses can too. Set that **** to private, and then of course don't just go approving anybody to be a friend on your list.
Tips. I didn't really hide my blog a while ago, but my social networking profile is secure.
