By now, everyone has noticed the changes around the Warpstorm board. The new forum names, the new graphics, the new allignments and stats, the odd mentions of "you-know-what", the strange news posts, and most importantly the Libra Wars forums appearing in the dead of night.
With the death of AoD, precautions were taken to keep the new project under wraps until we felt we were far enough along and sure enough of its completion that we could reveal it to you.
Ladies and gentalmen, since the project has at last entered the final stages of development, and after all the mystery and intrigue, we present the revealing of the largest Warpstorm project since AoD...
LIBRA WARS: Delcare Your AllegianceA board based fleet combat and thread story hybrid. Participants will choose an allignement and form an empire, each with their own income. Do you work as a team for your group or break off to form your own sub-group? That is up to you. A full store based system will allow for the purchase of ships, weapons, technology and other items from the Sol Empire. Missions will appear to allow you to prove your factions worth and earn you vast rewards.
Money will be given in the form of credits, awarded daily, and are based off the number of sectors on the gridmap you control. Move, conquer, overcome...the galaxy can be yours if you succeed, or you can become another conquere empire.
Most importantly to your conquests, the Libra Gates. Opening to random locations either within the galaxy, or in entire new ones, they provide an instant source of transport...and terror.
Your enemies? Those who stand in your way and the vicious Gal'Bel. Your allies? Those who you dare to trust.
The game will be using a setup programmed by Orange using databases and will be forum based. There will be 3 forums open to the players and public to view. Combat works with a combat menu created by the Sol Empire Admins and text on the story aspects is added thereafter. Players will be able to sign on at any time. You fight, you write, you create your own vision of an empire.
Ladies and gentalmen, welcome to the future of Warpstorm. Libra Wars is set to be ready in one months time and we WILL NOT ABANDON THIS ENDEVOR. This is our magnum opus. I welcome you all to join us...and Declare Your Allegiance.
