I like how you folks keep focusing on that $160,000 number and assume I'm talking about myself. I have no college debt. I was talking about helping others and fixing a broken system.

How many broken systems is it that you're trying to fix? I'm sorry to say this, but it seems to me you're on something of a quixotic spree at the moment. Also, if anything, the feedback you've gottn here seems to indicate that it is quite possible to get a quality education on much less than those magical 160k. Now, it is true that the highest-paying jobs are sort of earmarked for graduates of the highest-quality schools, but it's not like you are completely unable to find a job anywhere.

Only because they're all related. :)

And it's not "at the moment". I've been trying to change things for the better as long as I can remember, and I'll probably never stop trying.

You should be very, very carefull with that. Trying to change things for the better whilst you do not have the full picture can lead to further problems.

I payed my way through school, no financial aid of any sort and I came out without any debt.

the only down side is it took me 2.5 times as long as it should have, though a good sized chunk of that was due to poor decisions in classes I took.
