Ok, people, in order to know what kind of missions I should do for CIM, I would like you to know what type, and how you like the missions...

This won't be applyed to the first prologue (wich is almost done btw...), but it will for the second... :)
Yeah, I know you were waiting for a very nice sig, in which I was quoting some very famous scientist or philosopher... guess what?!? I wont indulge you...

Why, you ask? What, do I look like a Shivan to you?!?

well, the best you can do, is to make a balanced amount of mission types: don't overdo with the defensive missions or convoy escort (people tend to do that). Put in some nice assault and hitanddestroy types mission. Originality is always good -  stealth mission are way underused, try to come up with something new.:)

Ohhh!!!! Original ideas is something I don't lack in my head :)

Another question about this: do you prefer to be swarmed by enemy ships wich you can take down "easily" with lots of waves, or having a long dogfight with just one wave, where you have to wait for the inevitable error of your enemy???

Stuff like the scanning the Lucifer/Sath missions. You're hopelessly overwhelmed and have to skim across the hull of some super-cap to stop from being slaughtered, all the while destroying control junctions so that the star destroyer can come in and kick some ass..

On my TC for FS2 (The Swarm War) I'm thinking of having lots of enemy fighters coming out of everywhere....although that would make it easy to gain 'Ace' status.....

Try to achieve a balance - Starlancer has got it right I think. The ships are reasonably tough, and there's a lot of them meaning that it's CHAOS which is what dogfighting is. :)

What we've never really had is a maelstrom mission, mostly because the ship limit prevented it.

It'd be so cool to have like 100 fighters and a few dozen caps with scripted beam-fire, in a tight ball all swirling around chasing each other and you've got to do something stupid like keep Beta 3 alive while it shoots between way-points on a path designed to give maximum dramatic effect. Like the final battle on DS9. Ships exploding, beams grazing your shields, Mara's on your tail and Cain's wiping out dozens of yer squads wings. And you in your Pegasus having to impact missiles to stop them reaching Beta 3.

Well due to a tabling error all the 340(something) asteroids I hand placed for 2 hours to hide a zentreadi battelship turned into HOSTILE veritechs! Talk about a mess... There were planes all over the sky. Damn good thing I had invulneratble tag on to test teh mission or I would've gotten fragged for sure at the get go!

BTW that little error fixed
Don't think of it as being outnumbered. Think of it as having a wide target selection !

Wow! What a pretty picture!

Is there a mod or campaign to go with that?;)
