IMO Battle.net Multiplayer is better than anyone else i encountered, including (sorry to say) Freespace . Thats one of the reasons why i still play SC.

No, I played multiplayer... there were two good things about that game, the graphics and the trigger system, I got to see the second in full glory... but it was still not that great. You learn one or two good tricks, and you can beat the pros. E2150 is practically a real battle, I mean, in Starcraft weapons hit every time, do the same damage, the climate affects nada... Geez, man! Have you ever played that game? It's beautiful, despite its (admitted) flaws.

And I swear, ANYBODY tries to tell me that Syndicate is not one of the truly great games of all time, I'll get out my minigun and teach you a lesson about respect  .

I still don't agree with that. The fact that weapons hit every time doesn't change a thing to strategy. If they don't, it's just random result for a battle, and it can be very frustrating (ever played warhammer?)-plus it's false damages are random. Believe me the same tricks won't work every time. I used to kick a very good players ***  using only the 2 poorest zerg units, the zergling and the scourge. I won't explain my strategy coz it would be too long, but believe me a new strategy, if well used, will be better thn any good old trick.

Ps: about syndicate, I agree, it was a damn great game   (but too hard for me unfortunately -heh, I was very young then lol- )

StarCraft IS strategy in its best form... The experts in the game have their strategys set up on EACH map... how many probes/drones/SCVs to build before building a barracks and all.

When I first started playing the game I played Protoss, because I was a stuck up defensive player, and their photon cannons rock in that department. Thing is, when I played multi-player, I died EVERY time because I never really build units!

Thats when I starting learning from other players... the way they don't build very many stationary weapons and build lots of units. I tried mimicking that, but I never got really good. Thats when I changed to Zerg. I found I wasn't so bad with them, using Zerglings at first. After I lost a bunch of times I started focusing towards Hydralisks and...sure enough, I've won a few times after doing that. I still have a lot more to learn in that, and develop my strategies correctly, but StarCraft is full of strategy. Mostly using units in the correct manner, such as Guardians backed up with Scourges or such.

Not to be rude or anything, but that kind of strategy was in Command & Conquer. "I think I'll back up my commandos with bazookamen" stuff.
