I haven't been in the community for awhile and i downloaded some new ships and weapons.  And when you are supposed to copy one of the files into the weapons or ships.tbl it wont paste it.  I copy the item and go into the tbl file and try to paste it but it wont.  Any advise?

This is pretty much common knowledge. When editing table files, you have to open them in a text editor like Notepad or Wordpad. You can't edit them when they are open in TableView.
