I was putting in some new ships into my ships.tbl.  When i put in the info. for the GVI Cairo the other ships i put in earlier didnt appear in the ships list in FRED2 but when i looked at the ships.tbl to see if they were erased somehow, they were still in there, but again not in FRED2.  Any advice?

1. Check ships. tbl is less than 380k

2. Check you've got less than 130 entries in the tbl

3. Try it with other ships, and try putting the Cairo in a VP-fresh ships.tbl to try and isolate the problem

4. Ask Aldo(tm)

5. Cry

Using a fresh tbl will work about 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the time.....if it doesn't, reinstall!:shaking:

What version of FS2 is this? The first version was known to have some bugs with displaying things in the ship listing.

I know that when ever i`ve made any changes that the changes were not shown untill I closed fred2 and reopened... Other than that i`m not sure... Hope this helps :)

Hmmm, I recall another time I edit the ships table and when I reopened Fred2, the ships just before where I made the changes were still there, but anything after was missing (half of the vasuudan ships and all the shivan ships) were not present... I think it had to do with the model where ships list ended, some kind of bug in the model, but since i`m no modeler I removed the entry from the ships table and, all ships were back... Ho...hum...
