I got my nick from the fact that the first computer games I started playing were RTS.  (That and the fact that I have a memory for military related stuff, don't know why, and Strategic Air Command was something I heard from time to time that I thought sounded cool)  I was StrategicCommander for a number of years, and since it is often too long for name entries I just shortened it to StratComm.  And yes, I still want to be the guy on the bridge of a Hecate ordering a fleet around rather than flying a fighter or bomber.  My choice of nicks reflects absolutely nothing about my personal life, too, so that's a plus.  The downside is that my particular nick is often taken on strategy game sites.

It's not much of an excuse for a website, but my stuff can be found here

Yeah, nothing quite so cool as a little, old Chinese man who can kick your ass from three yards away. And he FLOATS! I always wanted to float!

Blanka, well, he woulda been cooler if I coulda figured out what the hell he was supposed to be. Rip-off of the Hulk and Wolverine, basically.

It was Dhalsam, anyway. One word, no hyphens. Get it right or feel the FOOT OF LONG-DISTANCE PAIN!!!

Think back to the prime days of Napster. Knowing just plain "Joey" was taken (since they told me so :D ) they offered some alternative nicks I could go by and Joey_21 was one of them, so from then on, to avoid confusion with anybody, wherever and whatever I might get involved with, people will still know me. :)

vadar stands for an acronym that i have long since forgotten... i shoulda wrote it down... but that was 8 years ago. And since "vadar" was used alot because of its similarity to "vader", i added the classic _1 to it. As for my alt name Resorath... much of random letters to make a word... worked out good.

As opposed to the big green toothed thing ploughing into someone?

I guess so. Doesn't really make a difference in gamelands- you've got Americans, you've got Posh Brits/Eurotrash, you've got Evil East Germans/Russians, and you've got your Asians. That's about it for most games.

Analazon, made it up for a multi-player quake 3 game when it just came out, and I was running it on a 333...

yeah...that was before I learned from Warpstorm that it could be split after the first four letters...and they had lots of fun refering to me as 'anal'...

Whoah. I'm called so many things... Oh well, Basically I started out first as Steba (Which is a nickname my brother gave me).

Then went on to be known as Viper 1, which is still use on IRC today (Used when X-Wing VS. Tie-Fighter came out and I started a small squadron called, You guessed it, THE VIPERS). What else...

Oh yeah, theres Kodiak (Big cudly bear that can rip you're head off for no apparent reason... Like me. :D)  which I used for a while.

Then there's my Mutliplayer name, Astro Monkey (Started in Tribes 2, when I formed with my friend the Shadow Monkey Clan), which I still use.

But the origins for Dark_4ce is actually quite simple.... I wanted something that sounded cool. So I came up with Dark Force. It was taken, so I changed the FOR to a 4. Tadaa... Nothing special I guess...
I have returned... Again...

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Good game, dissapointing result, although it could've been much worse.

Right, anyway, I'm off to listen to my new Disney CD. :D
