Got a new Vasudan model here, a scout to be exact.


Sorry it's small. But here is the ship. No LOD's 'cuz I suck at them. the simple textures are included.

Really I was going for a flat look that is main for most if not all Vasudan fighter class ships. Maybe I should have added those front wings.

Those square wings are a dead Terran giveaway. Look to the Serapis for an example of Vasudan wings; make them rounded and smoothed into the fuselage.

I think what gave away its Terran-ness was the cockpit's location. For Vasudan fighters, the cockpit is usually part of the hull, whereas for the Terran ones it tends to "stick out" more.

IMO the model would be good for a Terran interceptor...

Ok got some stats.

Can go 180/220-AB.

45% of mass is fuel and engine componats, though mostly fuel.

25% is composed of Shield technology.

And the last 30% is all the rest (comps, life support)

Weak hull but very strong shields.

not that it needs it too much, but weapons at all? (that would be a cool idea, purely recon ship.. if you were going to arm it, don't)

As I metioned to Hades, this little guy looks freakishly like my mental picture of the T-V War era GTF Mustang Alpha.  Really does.  But there are fewer Vasudan ships, so if a few small changes where made, then it be perfect.

I was planning to arm it. But that can be for my own personal use.

Or just light weapons.

hey as long as this thing get textured and LODed I'm a happy modder/guy. I think it's about time I learn how to convert to POF and such.

And for those of you who haven't downlaoded it. It has the SCN file with the textures (two of them in BMP) and COB of the model, just in case.

Anyone can use my models. I just want you to say that you did. And I'd like the finished product too.

Okay... I opened up the COB, it has a vertex with more than 20 points, so it won't convert. Better fix that! It also needs thrusters, as well as LODs and debris.

That itty-bitty picture doesn't show you what it looks like too well. Here, take a look at this instead.

As I said i suck at LODs. And i forgot completly about thrusters.

Notice the front wings, they were suppose to be there in the first pic but I could get tS to add them to the model via Boolean.
