I have noticed for some time that the Vasudans lack a relatively large troop transport. The Isis has good armor and firepower for a transport but it is too small to carry more than 40 or 50 personnel and is thus impractical for large ground deployments. It was basically a counterpart to the Elysium in FS1, but there is no ship in FS2 to match the newer Terran Argo. In my campaign, I put in a slightly more powerful transport but it is basically just a retextured Ma'at freighter with different stats and it still looks too small anyway. Has anyone out there made such a transport (Vasudan and Argo-sized) or knows of one somewhere?

The Satis is more of a transport than a freighter, in my opinion. Freighters tend to have claws or struts to support containers, but the Satis doesn't. Therefore, I see it as a transport.

The Satis should definitely be reclassified as a transport. Large, heavily armed, plenty of space; how often do you see one carrying a cargo container? The :V: missions often use Satises (pronounced satizees) for transports; they were even called Troop Transports once.

ALL the Vasudan freighters and transports are too SMALL!  There are fighter craft that are bigger than the ISIS!  How can something that size be called a Transport?

What we really need is for all the Vasudan Freighters, as well as the Posidon and Elysium, to be scaled up in size.

Personal, I feel that 'Freighters' should be the size of cruisers, and transports about half that.  The current Satis could be used as a transport, but all the others are way too small.

Incedently, I have created a Vasudan Assault transport out of the Satis.  The textures are not that much difrrent, but that was the idea.

to post a pic, you need to up load your pic on to the net first, then above were you type to send a response, where it says "IMG" , you click that, then paste the address of where you uploaded your pic.

The Satis can't actually dock with cargo, so using it as a transport makes a lot more sense. (Any cargo it does carry would have to be inside it.)

only prob is I can't do docking paths yet.  So it won't have them, you'll have to add them on.

The Isis is more of a shuttle...perhaps an assault shuttle because its tought enough to take a bit of a beating.

True, or it could be a personal transport for paranoid people, or VIPs.
