I posted this on the FRED2 boards but didn't get anything that I already knew. Since the crowd here is usually a bit more in the know I'll pose it to you guys.

Here's the story - in the course of my campaign there are several missions which involve a few different Fenris cruisers. In all of these missions, the cruisers are under attack and can be destroyed. Now, I want to have a later mission where all of those surviving Fenris ships that you protected in the earlier stages warp in and assist you with an objective. In order to do this the previous-event sexp must be used (or so I though).
For some reason previous-event only allows me to select the current mission that I'm working with. Even when I placed the level within my campagin it still doesn't let me select the earlier missions that have the events I need. Am I doing something wrong here? Or do I just have to manually type in the mission number and specific event?
Alright guys, enlighten me here! If they don't work right then why are they even there?
