Just got here from the Ross 128 site in which I thought was great but I was told it was dead and to come here.... oh sorry, where are my manners? The name is LT J.G. (only cuz I'm new) Brian C. Terry, Callsign: Maverick. Sorry if the CS is already taken, I normally use it for whatever sim game I'm in but I can change it in case someone already has it. Anyway, I have to look around here since it's my first time but I don't have a lot of time to do so so I will soon and I'm sure its great.

Call me the slow one but a few days ago I have FINALLY ordered Freespace 2 and a few days before that, got a WORKING demo of it, WHOO HOO! If it's anything like the demo, minus the lag when watching a ship blow up, then it's going to kick *** ! Maybe I should've gotten Silent Threat first but, hell, I'll live without it and if someone can quickly summarize what goes on in it, I'll be very grateful...

I hope to hear from you all soon and before I leave, I have a small quick poll.... Which method do you play your Freespace, Keyboard or Joystick? I use the keyboard, much more fun and better in my opinion. Anyway, take care all of you.. *Salutes*

Maverick, welcome. You'll definitely enjoy FS2. I usually play with a joystick, but I'm a keyboard-only at heart, so if I need to hit something - the Sidewinder goes back into the cupboard and I'm back to my trusty keypad

Just thought I'd say that...
 Nothing very important happens in Silent threat- just a rebellion by the GTI, which resulted in the unveiling of their to-be ultimate weapon (it was incomplete) the GTD Hades- a mix of Terran and Shivan Tech.
 About it... just a little bit to do with the introduction of a few new ships- Lokis for one.
 And I use a Joystick.
 And Freespace 2 rules.

In answer to the poll Q....

Joystick, I mean hey,..it's a flight sim, why not make it as realistic as possible right?

(I've never seen a fighter with a keyboard and a mouse)

Primary stick = Interact Cyclone 3d Digital
Secondary = Saitek Cyborg 3d Digital (Once i finally get this freaking drift error fixed)

Thanks for the replies... Well, here's something that I did not want to see, 4 days ago, (Thursday) I ordered Freespace 2 and from what I saw at the online store, it looked like it was in stock. Well, I just checked my mail and they say that it's not in stock whcih means I gotta wait.... *sigh* just when I thought I was going to get a lucky break... Anyways, I had this really funky dream last night... and it was about Freespace as well, if anyone would like me to tell it, tell me so this way I dont have to post it now and get several messages that say that they dont care or something. Well, gots to go, my shuttle for the GTD Concordia is leaving, laters! *end transmission*
