It's pretty easy to do this actually; just make copies of the existing beams in weapons.tbl and replace the color bitmaps with beam-purple1 and beam-purple2. You can also change the charge-up graphic to beamglow5 and tweak the damage/sound settings as necessary. That's about all that is needed.

It sorta looks like a shadow ship from B5 to me. i 've seen sumthing similiar to it on the Dark age mod for homeworld

Semi inspired... but i never really watched B5, so I cna barely remember any of the ships in it.

That looks nothing like a Shadow ship. It's got spikes, that's about it.

Reminds me more of the EA shadow hybrid ship from spoosade than the normal battlecrab.... although I never got a good look at it.

Even in this one the only similarity is the spikes, except this time the added similarity is that they're symmetrically placed on the sides.
