Y'know, I don't believe I've ever done the screenshot thing before.   I tried pressing the print screen button in game, but if that worked, I have no idea where the screenshots are.

Gah, I completely missed them.  They're there, but in tga format.  I can't view them, and changing the extension doesn't help.  Also, imageshack doesn't host tga format files.

Haha, I'm so hopeless.

And you can do that with an image editing tool, like PSP or Photoshop, or do a Google search about converting images, TGA to JPG. :)

OH, I used to get this problem.  What's your video card, drivers, and AGP setting, as in 1X, 2X, 4X, 8X, (that is, if you're using AGP)?

Hmmm.  Just for the hell of it, try dropping your AGP back to 1X.  You shouldn't realy notice any performance loss.  I found that dropping my AGP one setting back from maximum does the trick.  Actually, when I first had this problem, I was using AGP4X and had several lockups as well as this error.  Later, I had a HD issue and had to reinstall my system.  I had a friend of mine to it (more experienced and resourceful than me), but this friend forgot to install the AGP drivers.  So, for the longest time, I was using an AGP video card in PCI mode, with horrendus framerates, but no texture anomalies or lockups.  Its the only time that I've used OGL.  Anyway, when I realized the problem, I installed the AGP drivers and got my performance back, but got the lockups, texture anomalies, and other instabilities with other games.  I then reinstalled them in 1X mode (there didn't seem to be a 2X in the software) and the lockups went away, the texture anamalies (like you've been getting) went away, my stability returned, and I noticed no performance drop when compared to 4X.  Since then, I've upgraded to a faster board and video card, but in AGP8X, I got the lockups I was mentioning, and general system instability.  Dropping the AGP down to 4X solved these, with no performance loss.

allright, the mod works for me, but some mission from either fs or fs2 simple can´t be solved for there is in fs "last hope" the Hope just turns around and around when it´s waypoints are done....nothing more?!
in fs2 there is that mission where i have to defend that station in which the NTF attacks with a deimos class cruiser which schould be destroyed by the Aquitane(you know, that 6 km behemoth), but it doesn´t do anything, just warp´s in and that´s it then...i tried to take out the ntf cruiser but when it´s hull strenght is at one percent i won´t drop any more...
i hope someone has a clue how to solve this

That "6 km long behemoth" isn't the Aquitane.  The Aquitane is your flagship, the vessel you're flying off of.  The Colossus is the 6 km long starship.  And yes, this is a known problem (*points at SCP forum*).

The hull strength not dropping isn't a bug.  There's a flag set in the Deimos-class corvette's table listings that means it can't be killed by most weapons.  You have to use a bomb or something else equally large (anti-capship beams) to take out anything larger than a cruiser.

FYI: For problems in FS2, not the Port itself, this isn't the proper forum.  Post in the FS2 Campaigns forum (above this one, at the bottom of the second groups of forums) for help with FS2.  Just so you know.

Hi all!

I got just two questions about downloading.
If I want to play only the Silent Threat campaign which anim files should I download?
And have I have to download the music files too?

If you only want to play the campaign, all you need to download is the main VP.  That's it. :)

The animation files aren't divided between Silent Threat and the main campaign, but by category.  Check the download page.

The FS1 music isn't officially supported yet.

I have found a few irritating "somethings" in the Silent Threat Campaign, I'm not quite sure if they are bugs or just funny stuff from the original Silent Threat Campaign, in that case sorry for bothering.

1. In the mission where you have to defend the GTSC Ratna (ST04.fs2) three Amun class fighter jump in, and they have the order (immediately when they arrive) to evade Alpha 1. Well that wouldn't be anything unusual :) but they are friendly and become hostile a few seconds later, the player can see their order on the HUD while they are friendly. A suspicious player can target them, lock missile and when they become hostile shoot them down.

I suppose to place the order evade Alpha 1 into the event when this Wing (Libra) becomes hostile (event name: “hammer time”) and changing the starting order to protect Alpha 1, that way they will be right behind the player when they become hostile.

2. In the mission ST06.fs2 the Briefing voice has a loop. Stage three "Your objective ... transport Epsilon 1." File brief_mdm6_3.wav

3. In the mission ST07.fs2 where you have to defend the freighter and the escape pods the voices (TC_mdm7_f.wav, L_mdm7_e.wav) talks about GTFR ? Pandoras ? but definitely not Kappa 7, like the ships name is. I think this isn't a bug, and maybe that was also in the original Campaign too, but its still confusing.

on the level where youre protecting the Plato ("Failure to Communicate"), and the Shivans get the drop on ya...my game freezes up soon after the Shivans warp in (atleast, i'm pretty sure it's the shivans....whoever warps in first, i didnt have time to get an ID).

Since theyre ships actually show up, I was thinking that maybe the freeze happens as soon as the dirty bastards fire a shot, implying sumthin is awry with my weapon tables or something...but i dont know what i should do to go about correcting that.

It's worked fine up until this point (the graphics are soooo pretty!  i upped the truform alot, the shadows are soo smooth and natural on that spinning radar sish, i wanna kiss it all over....mmmm...now if only they were all alphamapped :)

Hm.

Do you have any other mods installed?  Check your tables directory too.  Try another build.  Try retail.

One of those should work. :)
