Ok, this is rather annoying to have a lack of a current mini-mod database...

What I am volunteering to do is to create a mini-mod database using PHP (no mySQL, don't know how to use it) that can easily be maintained and added to. No knowledge of HTML required. So, if HLP will host it (or if I can find suitable hosting...) I will create it. It probably wouldn't be to hard to make a review segment for it too...

Note: I'm not PMing this to an admin because I want to know if there is a major demand, or if HLP is not available for hosting, if someone else would be.

what I am proposing would have a form with a place for mod name, 2 screenshots, a link to a file (not uploaded to HLP...), and a short description, so theoretically you could put any mod up that you wanted...

Preferably an admin revew, too. Only, have it uploaded so the admins can come to it at their leisure and not be bombarded by submissions.
It should also include some of the mods in the HLP and VW archives.

yep, thats exactly what I had in mind...


I was thinkin that people could specify links to their own stuff, and none of the data files for it would be encrypted. The user would put their stuff in, and occasionally the Admins would check it and make sure that all is spiffy. If it isn't, then they modify the file that stores all the data in it, and upload the changed file. All fine and dandy now...
