Could you just make the middle of the ship bigger?  I mean in terms of X-Z it looks funny to me that all the other ships in FS1 and 2 don't stay so thin all the time I mean this in the best intrst of the mod so please don't get mad other than that littile thing It's bad ass!

I couldn't quite understand that sentence/paragraph.

But from what I understand:

It is a finished model. Unless somebody wants to do it. You guys have seen this before, and have even gotten the model. It is supposed to be long and thin. That makes it look fast and able to dish out some damage. Here is another ship, the Galactic Terran Battle Cruiser. It would have been BattleShip, but GTBS sounded like Galactic Terran Bull****.
I can't decide between these two texture schemes. What do you guys think?

The Alecto will have one huge ion cannon thingy in the front, some standard turrets and heavy AAA Turrets all over the rest of teh hull. The Alecto will also have a large torpedo launcher.

I'm not sure it looks Freespace-y enough, though.  Someone else said the same before, in the first screenshot thread.

I don't think it looks that Freespacy either, but we aren't doing Freespace, this could be in the Unification War. Maybe it can be the main ship of the PRM. It is slated for power, not tactical deployment or defense.

Everybody shouldn't rely on one ship class, the Atropos. We need something that can kick ass, but is still fast. The Alecto can get in, deal damage, and get out. It can even strike at carriers. if an Atropos goes against a carrier, no more Atropos.

No.  Carriers should be lightly armed.  They're meant for transporting fighters, not for battle.  They can be heavily armored, but they ought to be far outgunned by an Atropos.  Two Atroposes should be able to take down a Constellation easily, and four should be able to take down a Sagittarius.  Even one Atropos ought to be able to destroy a Constellation given a good escort and sufficient time.

By the way, I found another Earth background on my hard drive.  Have a look.

This is a little (Evil) teaser pic I took. I blurred out the new ship(You probably haven't bothered with it, though it was made public). Once I get permission from my team, then we might release the unblurred pic. This pic shows mostly the new (centered) shield icon for the Mustang Alpha. The Mustang Beta icon loks just like that, but it has added missile bays.
