I finish school in four years, then there's the military, then the university, so I got plenty of time to think about it.

Studing right now but also making my way to the media world. I'm already writing stories about life and the nice people from television want to publish my book. "Queens of sunset" and I'm really proud of it. :D

I actually did work in a place where McDonalds (and Wendys, and Burger King, and Hardees, etc etc) bought some of their stuff including all those neat little sauce packets you get with your happy meal. I didn't work on the line though, but rather in the accounting department. Fun times.

Right now though, I'm a currently unemployed college student that needs money in the worse way. (some crap with my living arrangements came up, now I need $1800) Will you give me a job?

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

i'm a waiter... part time... at a restaurant.

the wages are half of minimum wage (around $2.57 an hour... which in itself is horrible) but you get to keep all tips, which averages anywhere from $10.00 an hour to $30.00 an hour depending on the day and time of day.

i also get some money making webpages here and there, but i'm souping up my car in the next few days (i'm putting switches (hydraulics) in it) and so that's about $900.00 right there, then the system is going to be another $500-700.  gah!

I'm a parental leacher at the minute.

I throw down the gauntlet to anyone that works at Mc Donalds to start an effective and Millitant Union.

"Leeching from parents" is good, but i feel i need a job these days to keep myself amused, so since i'm still at school i'm just looking for something part time... which is proving to be quite hard.

Eventual plans are leave school at end of this year -> Aerospace engineering at uni -> job in relevant field.

Well, I hold to the philosophy that if I'm going to spend 40-60 hrs/week doing something, I had #$@% well enjoy what I'm doing.  So I play...err program video games.  BIG video games in the flight sim genre.  :D

I work for a company that builds FAA/CAA certified full flight simulators used to train pilots.  I specifically program the propulsion simulations.  I've worked on simulators for everything from a Falcon 50EX business jet to a Boeing 777.  My favorites are the helicopter sims (Bell 412, Sikorsky S76 and Blackhawk).  They're a PitA to program but a hoot to fly.

Hydraulics? damn not you too.. I won't insult you publically but.. damn.

I thought minimum wage was.. minimum. But i guess that's good, although i have alittle thing against waiters.. those who suck in particular :)

It involves a little game that you might recognise if you watch a certain sitcom. You start off with say.. 5 dollars. Thats the most the waiter will get if they are excellent. Now everytime the waiter asks your 15 year old lil brother if he wants a child menu/ brings the wrong food/ spills/ is slow/doesn't have your dressing/ etc etc you take away money. Now if they prove themselves to you again, you give a little back.

It turns being at the sharp end of some waiter's (;)) clumsy ineptitude into great fun while waiting 20 minutes for your meal :)

To keep on topic, i have a chore system worked out with my father kinda..  I'm thinking of trying to get a job at the local family supermarket or perhaps video store. Something easy i can do on weekends i suppose. Suggestions?

wow, a lot of stuff to reply to!  It's federal law (i think) for every worker to get paid minimum wage (at least)... and in reality that's what i get... plus i get to keep a PERCENTAGE (note:  a percentage) of my tips.  i was just speculating, because overall i think the least i've ever made in a one-hour period was about $6.00, which is still above minimum wage.

so really, on my paycheck i'm given minimum wage, plus all tips, but when you deduct the total tips i made (the entire thing... remember i don't get to keep all of them) ... i dunno, i'm tired... don't worry about me though, i'm very happy with the money i get! :)

oh, and what's wrong with having hydraulics?  you think that's bad?  wait till i get nitrous ;7
just kidding... can you see a 1980 cadillac with NOS? :p  ;)
