The Grand HLP Diet Thread
NowI'm sure all of you are wondering "this a thread for the overweight?" but no, I'm not talking about 'that' kind of diet...

the thread is to show what you people think (and don't tell me you don't know) abou what delightful (or not so delightful) edibles and drinkables every HLPer must have in his/her culinary collection... post pictures if it's particularly interesting or you're proud of your mutated display of culinary evolution ;)

so I'll start with a few:

Bosch Beer (of course, all shivans have ta have 'em. And terrans get conned into buying them of course) (btw: it's pronounced like 'bush' if my sources are correct...)

and Salted Squid thingers!

Dang, I used to have a really cool gatorade picture of various 'unmade' flavors (dog puke, dirty socks... stuff like that ;))

Well gatorade is goo' for liquid I guess (it's especially good if you're thirsty at the end of school, I like orange) ... but I prefer tea or coffee :p

..edit: which by the way here are some pics of :p

Oh and gravy-bones. Y'know, those funny, brown dog-biscuits that look like tiny bones.

Miso ramen, three orders of gyoza and bottle of Asahi, all from a street corner ramen shop in the Machida ginza.

Mmm, Philly cheese steaks....

And I love anything made from meat, cheese, and a starch (bread, potato.) Hell, who doesn't?

mmmmm... yummy :D

Oh and steak - I like those cube cutups instead of those huge steaks :p

My version:
Raw-Egg Soba (tsukimi soba), a few orders of croquettes and chicken (yakitori) and a ton of green tea

Really cool to see an american (?) appreciate japanese food :)

I lived there for five years.  I'm going for a job that will put me back there for another five or ten. I miss it lots.

Instead of green tea, Ambasa White Water. :D (i'm a fan of japanese soft drinks) or even better, REAL GOLD! :)

But is it the big "bottle" that you get from the vending machine that comes with a screwtop and built in handle? ;)
