Dang RGBA (Red, Green, Blue, & Alpha) setting I should remember to set it to RGB next time.

Oh ya, the grey dots are suppose to be stars, that is if the alpha setting wasn't on and turns the black BG invisible.

The PVF Anubis. I also turned off the RGBA, so now you can see the stars better ! I also had to do a little bit more UV mapping on this one cuz VRML sucks for the converting I'm doing.

Next : the SF Dragon. OHHHH AHHHH. I might not have it done until Monday 'cuz I'm going to Minneapolis/St. Paul for the the weekend to watch the Viking's lose .

He's happy because he's learning how to model relatively well.  If he can recreate the V ships, presumably he is excited because he has the potential to make news ones at that level of quality.  Showing them to us is the natural expression of his enjoyment of and happiness regarding the situation.

Exactly, It just seems that, having done two of them, he might want to try his hand at original designs, or at least something we might not have seen before. Wasted talent, otherwise.

Um... it's a conversion.  That Ulysses has exactly the same bit of fubared-uv (next to the missile bit) as the :V: model.  And I can;t see the point of keeping that.......

?? you lost me. I said their are conversions. I converted them from COB to VRML to .blend. Which I might add is not all that perfect or easy.

Dudes, he has to start somewhere. Better playing with actual, decently-made models than creating the Untextured Sphere of Doom and pushing it like it's the greatest thing since the combination monocular and radio. He's learning the ropes of his program and presumably how to texture. We've all been there, but it doesn't mean that others don't need to.

Pretty good for a conv, actually.
