Not bad, but the pcx has a lot of wasted space on it; you could probably trim it down to about a fourth of the size.

I have a couple of background maps with slightly higher resolutions, but they are all planets and nebulas. (there is a blue sun too but it is the usual size) Should probably give it a try sometime...

Well, the pcx be mighty purdy an' all, but it's not quite what I was aiming at. See, the sun in the mission I'm doing was basically a huge white ball with a blue corona, like this. With the new sun, the white ball is tiny, and there's some dodgyness around the edge of the bitmap, like this.

Ideally, what I was after was a high-res version of the old one. While the new sun is excellent, and I'd love to see the whole set be redone, it's not gonna work in my mission (the gigantic sun is rather important). Don't know if there's anything you can do about that...
