My guess: It doesn't have the SotY extras (they weren't mentioned) and requires a DVD-ROM drive to use. In other words, I think it's the original FS2 put on a DVD instead of CDs. But I could be wrong. (I don't have a DVD drive anyways but do have my FS2 CDs so don't need that version.)

Good call. It could be a good link for people who didn't play Freespace 2 yet so they can see it's glorry on DVD. But I allready have FS2.

i lost my discs once, guees where i found them, in a bag with old clothing that where to be thrown out or given to some welfare organisation.
