Intro movie Orion: a possible solution?
Yes, yes, we all know that it is called the Legion because V said so, but it's still interesting to note that the model is different. :D

Here's a "Cutscene" question that I'm not sure has been asked before.

What application(s) were the cutscenes created with?  Can your own cutscenes be inserted into a campaign?

The source folks are working on implementing DivX support. As for what V used, I don't know. Probably 3DS Max.

V did in fact use 3DS max. they said so themselves, and the terran pilot is in a sample image that comes with MAX.

and for all it matters it could be the Orion or legion or even the bastion because it wouldn't be the only ship that wasn't there in the game but was in the cutscene (hint hint: Hades)

You want a destroyer name, try looking in Goober's campaign, Deus Ex Machina. Llanfa- er, whatever it was. There was even a custom name plate! It cracked me up any time a mention of it was made - "You are no match for our massive destroyer with an equally massive name!"

Maybe kill a few discussiosn here and on the VWBB about stuff that was asked, solved, years and years and years ago...and I know most of you are newer to the community than that....but these topics just keep coming up...and its funny to debate an issue that has only one possible, confirmed, solution.

Ahh, so you're the one responsible for the discussion-killing going on over at the VWBB, eh? ;)

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill
