Being driven insane by truespace 2.
I download TS2 from the Realisation site yesterday, and got it to work. I decided to build some thing simple for FS, namely a sentry gun. So, I built the central body, and put two cylinder on the ends for turrets, (the smalle flat type, as found on the fenris). Now, how do I glue the turrets to the body in a wat that will work when I convert it to pof useing PCS?

Click on the main body. then locate the glue tool. Then click on the base of the turret, then the barrels (if any).

I pretty sure this is correct.
I have big plans, now if only I could see them through.

But do I glue as sibling or child?

I tried gluing one turret to the main body (as child), then the other, however, the second tuuret glues not to the main body, but to the union of main body an dfirst turret, maening that, when coverted to pof, there are only 2 submodels. One is the body and turret1, and the other is turret2.

It is infuriating.

First glue the barrels to the turret (while having th turret selected). Do this with all turrets.
Then select the main hull of the ship/base and glue one by one, all turrets.

That's what I try to do, but I have to select the turrets to glue them to the body, and when I do, the body becomes de-selected. I can't reeally explain the problem in words, but I glue one turret, fine. Then the second, rather than bein glued to the hull, is glued to the union of the hull and turret 1.

Then you are using the wrong type of gluing.
( I think you must use child)

Allso, don't glue the turrets to the ship, glue the ship to the turrets. Have the ship selected, hit glue and click on the turret. Repeat proces for all turrets.

No, it's not that complicated.

Just do what I told you.
If the hull+turrets object has the same name as the hull then that means that you did it right.
Rename the whole object into something better (Deatil1, or LOD0).

Allso, dont forget that your ship has to face to the left (<-) from the top view before you convert it!
And check the axes for all objects (the centralize axes comes in handy).

Direction doesn't really matter, as it is a sentry gun.

BTW, any good tutorials on truespace, without having to pay extortianate prices for books?
