Kinda hard to visualise something that big... I have a simillar problem with thinking about the size of FS ships, though if you can find somewhere wide open and you know rough distances to things, its easy enough to imagine a sath peeping over the hills.

Yeah... because of the Great Dividing Range (big line of mountains, rather close to the Eastern coast), not many clouds (and even less rain-bearing clouds) make it very far inland. And also, in respect to arid land that can't be used for much else than cultivating the Sun, we own... something like 85% of our land is unusable for agriculture and too expensive to live in (would have to get all your food and electricity brought in from fairly far away).
