Need some DVD help...
Hi people. Just got a brand new DVD player for PC but a weird problem ruins my fun - lag - in DVD. System specs are: Celeron 600 Mhz, 256 megs of ram, 64 MB GeForce 4 MX, 16x DVD rom

Help anyone? :)

And OS is?

Well anyway, check if DMA is enabled. Control Panel --> System (Or through my computer) --> Device Manager

Depending on OS, location of Device Manager is a bit different.
Then again, depending on OS, DMA setting can be found in CD/DVD drive settings or in Primary/Secondary IDE Channel settings.

If enabling DMA did not help, then try downloading and installing ASPI: http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/suppdetail.html?sess=no&language=English+US&prodkey=ASPI-4.70

Just for the record, you can also enable DMA in your BIOS.
