I found a 139 meg demo on download.com...speed isn't too slow...

Seriously. Buy it from E-Bay (I remember you talking about how you used to buy lots of Legos from it, so you must have an account). Lots of people are selling it, pretty good deals. You can even get Shock 1 from that place - and that is an opportunity you can't miss.

I thought Walton Simons was good, if only for that wierd voice. And speaking of wierd voices, what is up with the MIB? Did anyone find the false floor in Alex's office?

Yep. Stuff spawns there a couple of times (the thief keeps putting stuff down there on a regular basis).

OK, I'll stop now. I just landed at the Ocean Lab last night, a good stealthy level

This time around, I made a point of trying different approaches and I'm being rewarded with new bits... nothing major, but enough to keep it feeling fresh. That's what I love about it... every single time I play I find something new. Every... single... time... I can say with certainty that I have not found everything in the game. I noly found the false floor in Alex's office a few months ago, and I still can't find the nanotech assets in the canal in Wan-Chai, no matter how hard I look.

Deus Ex is teh cool. Shame Area 51 was so rubbish, though

Question --> Why the hell is Jamie so short? He sits on a chair and his feet don't touch the ground - tell me he's the first midget doctor in any computer game, right?

Wan Chai is one of the better parts of the game, I think.

I can ALMOST remember how I found the Aug. Cannister but not quite. It involves using some rebreathers you find in a flooded maintenance tunnel, for one thing. The entrance to the right place might be in one of the cross tunnels. You'll meet some of those annoying armored monster things then you'll come to an area that looks like it might dead end or something. If you swim way down and then come back up, you'll be in a collapsed section of a roadway tunnel. There's a car and a body or two and more of the annoying armored beasties. Its somewhere thereabouts, I think.

I really need to go back and finish DX.

I'm still sitting on top of the shack outside the submarine base where I was sniping guards from a very long distance and blowing up the mech beyond the gate. I kinda just lost interest right there. Maybe I'll pick it up again.

Are the movies really good or something? Yes, I do buy things from ebay quite often; if this is being sold there as well, I need to take a look...

The MIB is supposed to be augmented, but he has that funny echo in his voice; is that what you are talking about? Walton Simons just pissed me off the first time I heard him though; both his words and style of talking make him seem very, very arrogant (but quite fitting for the government official type guy that he is).

Although I think he would have made a much better enemy leader than Bob Page; Page was actually pretty stupid, and Simons was much smarter.

As for the false floor, if you talk to Shannon the second time you're in the place she tells you about it, but there is stuff in it the first time too.

That part took me a lot of work to find as well. Remember the refrigerated room in the back of the Old China Hand? You will notice some vents at the top of this room; these can be opened (you will need to climb onto the crates to get up there) and they lead into a fairly long secret pessage that eventually ends in the scientist's body (who has an aug upgrade and a biocell), some stuff he wrote down and bunch of crashed cars. You need to have the rebreathers from the secret underwater area to go through this though, since there is a lot of swimming necessary (and you have to fight two baby karkians while at it).

Hmm... I always felt there was more to the Old China Hand than I had uncovered. The mere fact that you were not required to enter and explore it should be the only indication required that it's likely to be stuffed with goodies... shame on me for not finding the vents

Well, unless I'm completely wrong, yes. They probably won't tell you anything you don't already know - and there are not many of them - but I get the urge to watch them every other day, simply because they're so cool. That, and also they really put you in the mood for the actual game.
