All a matter of how really, but I should imagine I'd find a few to giggle at.

Oh, gosh, wake up! Ever hear of someone falling into their own trap? If you set out to murder someone, and accidentally shoot yourself instead out of sheer stupidity, then you are stupid and the world can laugh at your evil being turned against it's source.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

What Sandwich said. Politics doesn't really come in here, the guy was just a dumbass, and what's more, a murderous one, thus hard to sympathize with.

oh for pete's sake, this discussion is as pointless as the one about racism in LOTR.

World's not fair. deal with it.

I'd laugh at him if he were a white man, but him being an Iraqi, makes it all the more funnier. I'm not a pro-racist by any means, but it really has been overexagerated this past year, so I just wanted to express myself.

I laugh and pity him, dying is horrible period - but it's ironic that he killed himself using a weapon he created with a purpose to kill others. I call that justice, even if it's sad that someone died.

Eh, happens to everyone.

Personally, I think expressions of sympathy or pity for the dead are an expression of sympathy or pity for someone who just cracked one. It happens to everyone, including oneself, so luck, good or bad, isn't really involved. If they dies particularly unpleasantly, that's another story, but the same applies for any extremely painful experience one survives- and in this case, I doubt the person in question did. Being blown to bits by a mailbomb would kill you almost instantly.

Anyone who while attempting to kill someone else manages instead to do themselves in is worthy of derision regardless of their ethnic origin. Sadly that story isn`t true but this one is.

Quote
From the Darwin Awards Site 5 September 1999, Jerusalem    In most parts of the world, the switch away from Daylight Saving Time proceeds smoothly. But the time change raised havoc with Palestinian terrorists this year.

Israel insisted on a premature switch from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time to accommodate a week of pre-sunrise prayers. Palestinians refused to live on "Zionist Time." Two weeks of scheduling havoc ensued. Nobody knew the "correct" time.

At precisely 5:30pm on Sunday, two coordinated car bombs exploded in different cities, killing three terrorists who were transporting the bombs. It was initially believed that the devices had been detonated prematurely by klutzy amateurs. A closer look revealed the truth behind the explosions.

The bombs had been prepared in a Palestine-controlled area, and set to detonate on Daylight Saving Time. But the confused drivers had already switched to Standard Time. When they picked up the bombs, they neglected to ask whose watch was used to set the timing mechanism. As a result, the cars were still en-route when the explosives detonated, delivering the terrorists to their untimely demises.

Again I find it similarly funny when a member of the IRA blew himself up on a bus while transporting a bomb.

Oh, gosh, I remember when that happened. Yeah, each year here they usually have a vote to see when they should change the daylight savings time . :doubt:

Bah it's not quite "justice" It's the boomerang logic. We say in my country: If you mean evil to someone, the evil shall return to you. (I think it is formulated that way or something)
