I hate to be a copy-cat, but Setekh knew about this anyway - I have to leave for a bit, too. As of January 27th, I'll begin a month of IDF reserve duty in the Gaza Strip, until February 27th.
Now last year I was sent into Jenin, and got some grenades and makeshift explosives thrown at my APC, but that was about the extent of the "fighting" I was involved in. But from what I hear, Gaza makes Jenin look like a cakewalk. So if you think of me from time to time, keep me in prayer - those of you who pray, that is.

Because of a curious work situation I find myself in, I'll be getting out every week after guard duties Wednesday (whenever they are - morning, afternoon, or evening), and returning to base Friday mid-morning. The reason for such a strange arrangement is because as a webmaster, there are a few sites I operate that require weekly updates, one on Wednesdays, and the other on Fridays. And since I'm the only one in the (very small) company who does web stuff, walla!

So I may pop in on Thursdays to say hello and stuff, but don't expect too much from me.

P.S. Since the general consensus is that the attack on Iraq is going to happen towards the end of February, it
could happen that my release is delayed indefinitely. I doubt it, but it
could happen. So don't go thinking that "something's happened" if I don't come back right on Feb 27th.

I'll have Splinter keep you updated.
