I think we need to put up one (or two:D ) banners in the Gamespy banner circulation. It would really boost popularity for our website, and maybe even fs2 itself.

We would need to have a place to get fs2 from though. I heard the SCP has it uploaded to their site, is that true?

I like this idea, when I was a webmaster over at another site here on 3dap, we sent a banner into circulation...I think we did get some new visitors, and it would maybe convert some other space-sim players to play our Freespace :)

I'm thinking one...maybe one of those priceless things....maybe something involving the terran vasudans and shivans and some headz! Or something with cap ships or something....or just general headz!

i don't think so, unless someone did it without telling me, which is very probably :p ;)

it's quite a few large files though, total will probably be a good 2 GB.  i can host it if no one else wants to :)

Actually there is a clause about FS2 being copyable if not for commercial purposes (read the ULA for the specifics or search the forums- it's come up before) so I don't know if it would be considered a violation of that agreement.  If you claimed it as your own, then you would be violating copyright laws, but I guess you could just cite it as copyright Volition and post it up..Could be wrong, as I don't remember the exact wording; posting it online may be too large scale distribution though.
who needs a signature? ;)
It's not much of an excuse for a website, but my stuff can be found here

Well, the agreement just says that you can distribute to "friends on a non-commercial basis" or something to that effect. So we just say that everyone is our friend for these purposes. :D

You're renting a virtual server or something, Stealth?
