Well, it's about bloody time.....
I actually got round to finishing mapping the last player ship  

Normally I don't post a pic until it's actually up and running in game, but what the hell  

(note the maps are currently 512x512, so there will be a wee bit of resolution loss in game)

This is the last (player) ship for Reciprocity, and will be public released once finished.  Because it's intended for fighting the Nightmares, it is vastly superior to conventional ships.

You all sicken me! how can you sit there wooing and claping that ship when its missile bays are squashed!? How is ANYTHING gonna come out of that!!! Eh? Look boy! If you don't put them stright I am gonna kit that ships [Plane roars overhead]!!!

Just try it and I'll send 10 Trebuchets up yer arse    

It's more of an anti bomber platform - it'll be able to carry trebuchets for long range interceptor missions primarily, plus the obvious Helios, etc.

I'm goint to be fiddling with the assualt turret.... actually I'm considering fitting it with a low firepower beam / heavy primary slaved into TAG missiles on the secondaries

Or actually setting the turret to fire a targeting 'TAG' laser via SEXPs for the Paveway system..... plus a limited AWACs capability.

It's going to be a very special ship

Aldo, if this is what your game models look like, I'd just hate to see what you came up with if you did a cutscene-quality model.

Excellent model, but are you sure that those cobtrol freaks amongst us can trust that AI to fire the Plasma cannon correctly?   But oh well, it'll be fun to the thing anyways.

Well, it's about bloody time.....
Damn   ...turret's got to go - clipping problems.  Also, it's not really possible to get the system I wanted to work with the turret....

Sadly, I could have had this released tonight if it hadn't been for that bug, but now i need to re-edit it and redo most of the interface stuff

Yeah, but i buried the actual turret models in the main hull without thinking  

So it pretty much shown through the hull from the to and bottom.... I'll need to alter the skin a wee bit too, to tidy up the textures where the turret was.

It's not a major loss, i'm just a bit annoyed at letting it happen.

for ship designs integrity sake, you better try and move the turret rather than just getting rid of it

Nah, t was supposed to be the centre point of the LATS (laser aquisition and targeting system), but the FOV (and a lack of sEXPs)made it very difficult to implement.... also, I wouldn't be able to reposition it properly and get a decent FOV.  I filled in the front with a new texture, anyway.  Looks fine ingame  - even with the reduced textures.

Really nice... Too bad the turret is gone, I would have been interesting to see how it worked. Other than that, very nice fighter. Cannot wait for the rest of Reciprocity.
