well, it's supposed to, but the valkyries are in it, go wonder. japanese never paid much attention to plot continuity ( macross, harlock, gundam, etc ). They do what they want, usually.
In Macross 0, you have the valkyries, but you also have F14 or F117 for exemple.

nope, these are VF-0's, they are before valkryies. There's been a lot of debate about some aspects of them, but they are quite different. The major difference is that they use gas, while VF-1s use a fusion engine.

And, yes, they are FTP servers.

It really is not Roy's Valk. Look at it, it's got a different control scheme, and two head lasers, as well as a totally different head.

of course it's a bit different. if you take harlock's arcadia, it's also different in harlock saga than in the series, etc. They always change stuff and others, they improve the designs etc. But a white valk with yellow and black strips, with a skull, etc, there's always been a single one. All that is just geek talk
plus you haven't replied about the fact that there shouldn't be any transformable mecha by then
anyway, to be honest, I don't care, I'm used to inconsistency in animes, or else I'd hate the Lodoss TV series for exemple ( and I love it, so... )

while this series a prequel to SDF Macross, it's not a prequel to the actual crash of Macross. The series chronicles the events that happened in the ten-year timespan after Macross crashed until it's launch. So, yes, there were valkryies, and the general concesus at the Macross World (MW) boards is that the VF-1 and the VF-0 were developed side-by-side, but the VF-1 eventually won. Don't remember the specifics of what they all said.
And of course it's Roy's valkryie: it's got Roy in it!

There is currently no region 1 setting for the DVD, so just download it, look at it, then buy it when it comes out in America (if ever)

alright, first:
zone 0: can read any DVD regardless of its zone
zone 1: USA, canada
zone 2: western europe, japan, south africa
zone 3: south-east asia
zone 4: australia, south america
zone 5: russia, eastern europe, africa
zone 6: china

that put aside, it's very easy to turn most of the DVD drives into zone 0 drives, or "dezone" them.
For pc Dvddrives, you just have to find the correct bios
For the TV DVD drives, t depends, but most can be dezoned after pushing some of the keys in a certain order ( yeah, like a cheatcode ).
Dezoned mine in a couple minutes, and now I can read anything on my DVD drive, mwahahaha

edit: most retaillers will dezone the drive themselves in the store if you ask them.
