When a leader believes in space aliens...
It's not always a bad thing.

[q]Bush Budget: Aliens May Be Out There

WASHINGTON (AP) - Proof that life exists outside the boundaries of Earth continues to elude scientists, but President Bush's budget suggests that ``space aliens'' may be out there. And it could just be a matter of time before they are discovered.

In a brief passage titled ``Where Are the Real Space Aliens?'' Bush's budget document released Monday says several important scientific discoveries in the past decade indicate that ``habitable worlds'' in outer space may be much more prevalent than once thought. The finds include evidence of currently or previously existing large bodies of water - a key ingredient of life as we know it - on Mars and on Jupiter's moons.

Astronomers also are finding planets outside the solar system, including about 90 stars with at least one planet orbiting them.``Perhaps the notion that 'there's something out there' is closer to reality than we have imagined,'' the passage concludes.
The president calls for $279 million next year and $3 billion over five years for Project Prometheus, which includes building the Jupiter Icy Moons Orbiter.

"This mission will conduct extensive, in-depth studies of the moons of Jupiter that may harbor subsurface oceans and thus have important implications in the search for life beyond Earth," the budget reads.

The budget is the second time in recent months that the Bush administration has addressed questions about life in space.

On Dec. 24, the White House issued a September determination by Mr. Bush in which he followed his predecessors' lead by issuing a determination exempting the Air Force facility near Groom Lake, Nevada, from environmental laws allowing the release of classified information about the area.

Groom Lake is the place that UFO buffs call Area 51.

"I find that it is in the paramount interest of the United States to exempt the United States Air Force's operating location near Groom Lake … from any applicable requirement for the disclosure to unauthorized persons of classified information concerning that operating location," the president wrote.[/q]

I watched a 2 hour report on the CIA, Airforce and the US Government, and a handful of universities. It documented the accounts between like 1940 to present regarding the possibility of alien visitors and how the government covered it or the CIA did.

More beleiveable is the fact they did secret testing on Spy planes, which explain unidentified aircraft by normal citizens, and the secrecy at area 51, and how the government always tried to debunk Alien beleivers, however always allowed them to go on somehow, leaving just enough trail to keep them sniffing just enough to keep them off the right track: building a spy plane to fly over russian territory undetected.

However it goes even further to document many pilot accounts of strange flying objects. Again debunked, saying the new spy planes used a very polished aluminum (not sure if it was that, or some other shiny metal), and up 60,000 miles with the suns rays beaming off the aluminum would make any fighter pilot possibly see a white ball (the luminescense from the sun off the metal would give it a round shape or even some unnatrual form for flight) which also explains their sightings.

Then there are photo's over 700 are considered untampered and unsolveable by the CIA and universities in the US. 700 pictures, not tampered with, documenting either a ship in flight, or an actual being.

Their is a ton of stuff out there all around the world, pointing to the fact aliens already do exist, and we have encountere them. There is even a report during a WW, the US west coast was beleived to be under attack by the japanese, the report stated the entire city's lights were shut down, and the anti aircraft batteries were turned on, and they fired over 4200 rounds at an object in flight. however the object didnt budge, finally it just up and flew away.

The city had collateral damage, the US army's official statement said the damage done was due to friendly fire.

I think either the world has saturated itself so much into these stories, making it impossible for me to decide if we met them or not, and at the same time i know there is other beings in this grande universe. It is selfish to think we are the only intelligent beings in this entire universe we havent even really begun to explore.

I want to beleive.

Cause god knows he'll screw it up when dealing with aliens, he'll have some funny mispronunciation of alien or extraterrestrial (which sadly I can't even spell), and keep making lame jokes about Mexicans, then he'll give all the aliens cute little nicknames. :D

Better than Clinton being in office.  "Would you like to try a BJ?"  ;)

BTW Area 51 is mostly shut down... they've moved farther into the desert, away from the prying eyes.

Area 51 doesn't have Aliens or anything like that... just hella cool technology.

My father was in charge of a hanger at Wright-Patterson AFB that supposedly had a UFO... it didn't have that.  He won't tell me what it was, besides the fact it was hella cool.

When a leader believes in space aliens...
why would aliens want to make contact with us in this day and age?

we are far from the "enlightened" race we envisioned in the 1960's although we are slowly getting there but not by a long shot..

as for george w. making contact with aliens... in true austrailian tradition: [sarcasm] yeah, i'd like to see that [/sarcasm]

When a leader believes in space aliens...
It is possible that aliens really have visited Earth. Unfortunately the real evidence (if there is any) has been covered up by a huge morass of rubbish from the conspiracy theorists.
The saddest thing is the rubbish that they spout is probably the biggest barrier to proviong their own theory. If someone says that aliens landed in a certain place at a certain time it's hard to believe him (even with coroborating evidence) if he then goes on to tell you that it's all connected to the faked moon landing or some other rubbish.

So maybe if we could get the conspiracy theorists to shut up for 5 minutes we might manage to get an objective look at the problem. Or maybe that would be too much of a conspiracy? :D

I always laughed at the American Alien shows - the Aliens always seem to land in the US - generally some field in the middle of nowhere. If they have the technology to travel millions of kilometers throught he cold void of space, then they'd havethe technology to scan for lifesigns, their density, and maybe even technology levels, and land in Japan or something. Or at least not crash like they supposedly did at Roswell.

Aah. The eternal question about ALIENS... It sgood atleast that some funding is still put into the search for them green lil' buggers. Cuase if that would actually be achieved (finding aliens that is) than the whole world would basically go through a paradigm shift. Religeons will change and addapt this new information. Thus changing and addapting people. People as a whole will begin to see themselves not as singular nations. But as a people. Humans as one. Basically everything will change. and thats when the "bad" stuff happens. I don't exactly know WHAT bad stuff will happen. But when things begin to seem to good to be true, they usually are. :D

Its also a good conversational topic, about which country will represent the world when first contact is ever made. People are so stupid usually that they think that when a alien species will meet with a representative of the world, they will for ever after consider that nation the rep is for as the leader of the world. So there could very well be war over who gets the right. scary thought eh?

Aah, people... Gotta love em.
