I'd like to say again that the new Terran bomber featured in the Eden Project is the Cronus. Here is why the Cronus is not related to the Chronos:

In the ancient Greek literature, Chronos is the personification of time. He is usually portrayed as an wise, old man with a long, gray beard (Father Time). Chronos is often mistaken for the Titan Cronus.

Heheh. Some people earlier seemed to think I meant Chronos. While the Chronos is not the bomber I'm talking about, it is a freighter (a poorly armed one at that) and will make some appearances in the campaigns along with the GTB Cronus.

LOL. I'll try again

Cronus = L33t bomber
Chronos = Unl33t, old freighter

The bomber has an H, the other doesn't. Happy?

Particularly when Alikchi learned that greater-than less-than function keys are not brackets.

Hmmm... Cronus is the bomber I've never heard of and will never have, Chronos the bad freighter I've never heard of and will never have. Got it.

I'll take that bet!   I win!

EDIT: After a double-check, I discovered where you can encounter the "Chronos" - it's the name of a freighter in Derelict, in mission dl2-06.fs2.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Read. Post. When in doubt, it's pilot error.

And I did check. How much was that bet again? Make it $50, then I can buy FS1 and this other thing I've got my eye on...

Oh my god. None of you have FS1 do you? The Chronos is a standard freighter in FS1, and unlike the Amazon Advanced (which was derived FROM the Chronos, not the other way around), it has a turret.

and both the Cronus and the Chronos are going to be in the Eden Project, hence the need for a way to differentiate. In fact I got a Cronus beta POF already! So hah!

All right this should solve it once and for all

GTB Cronus = Bomber with 2 turrets, designed by me and modeled by Fulgrymm
GTFR Chronos = Freighter with 1 turret, designed and modeled by Volition

And in mythology terms, they're different too!

Cronus = the king of the Titans until Zeus dethroned him
Chronos = the Greek version of Father Time

See now??
