The Imperial Tora class:

 

Commissioned and built in the years after the Great War, the Tora was based loosely on the original Orion design. Although it lacked the Orion's fighterbays and maneuverability, the Tora improved upon the original in armor and firepower. Tora destroyers defeated the Shivans during the Second Invasion of Sol, and for the lifespan of the Empire were a terror to all who opposed Imperial rule. However, in the years of anarchy following the Imperial fall, all but a handful of Toras were lost in combat as warlords squabbled over property rights, and only 30 years afterward the few remaining Toras were dismantled by the IC in order to get at their super-efficient power systems, the technology for which was lost during the collapse of the Imperium. All Crusher-class battlecruisers are powered by former Tora energy systems. The hulls of eviscerated Toras, or destroyers retrofitted with new reactors, are considered ideal target practice for beginning pilots for their toughness and lack (by modern standards) of adequate weapony.

And yes, there's lots of stuff on the bottom you can't see, and yes, it is less than 3000 polys (at least I'm pretty sure it is, by far the most detailed thing there is the body and that's only a few hundred polys- the side windows took a lot)
