The other side of the island looks, well, weird.
 
But it's good anyway.

It looks like that grass is growing right into the water, and maybe a little beneath.  I'd suggest blending in a sand strip around the water's edge to help with the transition.  Otherwise, looks great

Methinks same as StratComm - the join between the grass and the water is too abrupt and steep. It needs some sort of beach or bank type thing to break it up and make it look rougher.

The snowy one's great, though.

Hey, its only a good thiing that you can do Vue d'Esprit grade renders in LW. Vue d'Esprit is totally landscape based and can make some excellent renders. It only proves your skillz

There are allot of TUT's for water, i can't rember the link, but try a search on google.
