Special Explosions for Subsystems.
I guess the title of the thread sums up what my question is about.  Giving subsystems special explosions, or being able to set off an explosion on a subsystem.  like say......engineering, having a bomb go off in engineering is never a good thing, especially when it blos out the engines and some of the exterior walls.  Just an example as a place where this might be useful.

so what do you guys think?

Special Explosions for Subsystems.
Subsystems do explode. Just not very dramatically (try launching a couple Stillettos at the next capship you see). And you can set them off in FRED already.

More interesting explosions would be something to work towards, though.

yeah.....what bob said.....also, how do you set an explosion to go off on a subsystem, i know we can sabotage them, bring them to 0 percent, but as a fredder i should know how to make one pop.  can someone tell me what i am missing?  And actually i was asking for both, making them explode and damage you if you are too close.
